The SBEF scholarship program aligns with Spring Branch ISD’s goal for every graduate to attain a technical certificate, military training, or a two-year or four-year degree (T-2-4). Awards are based on each student’s holistic achievements such as personal qualities, school and community involvement, family life and academics.
Applications are evaluated as follows (1/3 weight for each component):
- Resume/transcript/letter of recommendation assessed as a group
- Essay response
- Overall impression
Scholarships will be awarded at the Bright Stars of SBISD Event that will be held in May. You will be notified by mid-April.
If you are selected to receive a scholarship, you will be provided with instructions and a disbursement form to claim your scholarship. In some cases, these funds may be considered by the Internal Revenue Service as taxable income. Please consult your tax advisor.
The application deadline is Friday, February 16, 2024 at 11:59pm.
